BOSTON — With just two weeks to go until the 2020 presidential election, more than one million Massachusetts voters have already cast their ballots, state officials say.
As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 1,957,066 voters have applied to vote by mail or have voted earlier (+60,825 since yesterday), 1,934,032 ballots have been provided (+77,561 since yesterday) and 1,001,725 ballots have been returned, an increase of 192,485 since yesterday.

Currently, 41.9% of voters have either applied to Vote by Mail or have early voted in person. 51.8% of voters who have been provided with a ballot have already returned it. Of all registered voters, 21.5% have already voted. The number of ballots cast right now is equal to 29.7% of all ballots cast in the 2016 election.
The state says these numbers include both in-person and by-mail early voting numbers, as the system captures each in-person early voter as one additional application received, one additional ballot mailed, and one additional ballot returned.
