METHUEN, Mass. — On Wednesday, Methuen police, alongside members of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC), responded to a person who barricaded themselves inside their home.
Officers were dispatched to a house on Huntington Avenue around 3:40 P.M. when officers couldn’t contact the person inside the home.
Police found that the door to the home was barricaded. Officers then began to set up a perimeter around the home and contacted NEMLEC SWAT for mutual aid and negotiators.
After 3 hours, the individual of the barricaded home surrendered without incident to members of the SWAT force.
