PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A historic reproduction of the ship that carried the Pilgrims to America is on its way back to Massachusetts.

On Monday, the Mayflower II departed the Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, where it was undergoing routine maintenance over the winter.

It is expected to pass through the Cape Cod Canal at approximately 2 p.m. on April 13 and arrive in Plymouth Harbor around 5 p.m. later that day.

The ship is a reproduction of the original Mayflower, which brought the Pilgrims to the shores of Patuxet in 1620. It will dock at State Pier in Plymouth.
