BOSTON — Massachusetts General Hospital welcomed the first baby born in Boston in 2025 early New Year’s morning.
Leah James Lombardi was born at 12:14 a.m., weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and measuring 20.5 inches long, according to the hospital.
Leah was born to Jessica and Michael Lombardi, of Saugus. She is the couple’s second child.
The hospital said both the mother and baby are doing well.
Leah’s arrival marked the first time since 2015 that MGH welcomed the first Boston baby.
