NEW BEDFORD, Mass — A Massachusetts State Police trooper was injured after his cruiser was struck as he was getting out of his car.
According to Mass. State Police, the trooper was leaving his cruiser to assist at the scene of a prior crash on Route 195 West in New Bedford.
The trooper was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was evaluated and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle who struck the cruiser was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation into potentially pressing charges is ongoing.
