Mass. man sent to hospital, charged with DWI after rollover crash in Hooksett, NH, police say

HOOKSETT, New Hampshire — A Massachusetts man who was ejected from a Honda Civic during a rollover crash on Saturday is accused of drunken and reckless driving, state police said.

Jonathan Fiore, 50, of Bolton, Mass., was sent to a local hospital with unknown injuries after the crash at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 93 north at mile marker 27 in Hooksett, state police said.

Fiore’s condition was not known on Sunday.

“Impairment and speed appear to be the primary contributing factors in this crash,” state police said in a statement on Sunday.

Fiore was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, state police said.

A preliminary investigation found that a 2007 Blue Honda Civic driven by Fiore was reported to have been traveling in the left lane at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, state police said. The Civic first exited the left side of the roadway, then struck the median guardrail before rolling over and coming to rest in the right two lanes of the interstate.

New Hampshire State Police were assisted on scene by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Hooksett Fire Department, as the right two lanes of the roadway were closed for approximately one hour following the crash.

Anyone who witnessed or who may have any additional information regarding this crash is asked to contact Trooper Evan Puopolo at 603-223-8530 or Evan.R.Puopolo@dos.nh.gov.
