March nor’easter: Which Mass. communities got the most snow, strongest wind gusts?

BOSTON — Some Massachusetts communities were buried by three feet of snow Tuesday as a powerful nor’easter blew across the region.

The highest snowfall totals, as of early Wednesday morning, were centered in Western and Central Massachusetts.

The storm began Monday night and lasted throughout Tuesday. Tens of thousands of people were left in the dark as wind gusts of 50 mph battered parts of the region.
