LAWRENCE, Mass. — Authorities are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash in Lawrence on Tuesday night.
According to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, just after 9 p.m., 66-year-old Luis Zamora Gonzales was crossing 50 Broadway when he was hit by a 2014 Buick Enclave and by a 2018 Infinity QX30.
Crews pronounced Zamora Gonzalez dead at the scene. It is unclear if the drivers of the Buick or Infinity will face any charges.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lawrence Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
“Our sincere condolences are with the family of Luis Zamora Gonzalez,” said Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. “We hope that they may find strength in community during this very difficult time.”
