Man suffers severe hand injury after log splitter incident

BOURNE, Mass. — A 38-year-old man suffered a severe right-hand injury while working with a log splitter in Bourne on Tuesday, according to the town’s fire department. That victim was flown to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Officials were called to the scene on Portside Drive in the town just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
