Man dead after rollover crash on I-293 in Bedford, N.H.

BEDFORD, N.H. — An investigation is underway after a Londonderry man is dead after a crash on I-293 in Bedford, New Hampshire State Police said.

State police said around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Bedford Fire Department and troopers responded to a report of a vehicle heavily damaged down an embankment along I-293 south at the off-ramp to 101 West.

Upon arrival, state police said it was determined that a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck had drifted off the roadway and down an embankment before striking a tree.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Christopher Brooks, 47, of Londonderry. Police said Brooks and his vehicle were the subjects of a missing person “Be on the Lookout” BOLO that was distributed to police agencies statewide during the evening hours of January 22nd.

The exact time of the crash is currently unknown, but the initial investigation suggests that the vehicle had crashed well before it was discovered, police said.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
