MANCHESTER, N.H. — A 54-year-old man was killed late Saturday night while trying to cross Interstate 293 North in Manchester, New Hampshire, according to State Police.
Around 10:30 p.m. Billy Slatton of Deering, New Hampshire, was riding with Kimberly Slatton, 58, when their Toyota RAV4 had mechanical problems near exit 7. They pulled over into the breakdown lane.
Billy tried to cross the highway to get to a local gas station and was hit by three cars in the road. He died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. All three drivers stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators.
