BRAINTREE, Mass. — A man is under arrest Wednesday, facing charges in the January murder of a Dorchester man at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree
Julius Hammond-Desir, was arrested in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood by members of the Braintree, Boston, and Massachusetts State Police, according to the district attorney’s office,
He was being processed at the Braintree police department Wednesday morning and his arraignment for murder is expected as soon Wednesday morning at the Quincy District Court.
Hammond-Desir, 19, is from Maynard.
The Norfolk County District’s Attorney’s office had previously released a different picture of Hammond-Desir in late January and said he may “have changed his appearance since the shooting.”
The shooting happened on January 22 at South Shore Plaza.
A 26-year-old man was killed in the shooting.
The victim, Dijoun C. Beasley of Dorchester, was shopping inside a retail store on the main floor of the mall before he was shot.
