WORCESTER, Mass. — A man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly firing a gun in an occupied apartment building.
45-year-old Scott Larabee is charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and defacement of personal property.
Officers responding to an apartment on Chrome Street around 10:17 p.m. for a possible gunshot fired inside the building found the 911 caller who claimed she heard a loud bang and then found a hole in her bedroom ceiling, according to Worcester Police.
Investigators say similar ballistic damage was found in another apartment, although there were no reports of any injuries. Police found the apartment where the gunshot originated and were able to obtain a driver’s license belonging to the suspect, Larabee.
On Sunday, officers found Larabee inside a Grafton Street business and apprehended him.
He was arraigned in court on Monday.
