CARVER, Mass. — A man in his fifties was rushed to a hospital with severe burns following a fire at a home in Carver Friday afternoon, the town’s deputy fire chief Eric Germaine told Boston 25 News.
Multiple people called 911 around 4:15 p.m. to report a house fire at 26 North Main Street.
Germaine and the fire chief were first to arrive at the scene and said they saw heavy fire coming from the front of the home.

“When we went to the back of the building, we found a resident on the back porch being assisted by some neighbors with what looked like substantial burns to the upper part of his body,” Germaine said.
Carver EMS rushed the victim to a hospital for further treatment.
Germaine said the victim told firefighters there may have been more people inside the home. Firefighters searched the home, but didn’t find anyone else.
The fire was isolated to the home and no one else was hurt.
