LEXINGTON, Mass. — Lexington has been named one of the top places to visit in 2025, according to the New York Times.
The annual list written by the New York Times, names locations around the world for travelers to visit, citing things to do and attractions to see.
The towns of Lexington and Concord took the 23rd spot on the list, and named the location as “a tribute to the ‘shot heard round the world.’”
“Massachusetts led the way in the forging of a new nation, and now it’s doing the same in advance of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026,” the article said.
“We are thrilled that the events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord have not only caught the eyes of the nation, but of the entire world,” Lex250 Commission Chair Suzie Barry said. “We are honored that our town has made the list coveted by international travelers every year, and welcome all to join us for the celebrations in April.”
