REVERE, Mass. — Kelly’s Roast Beef, a north-shore staple has been sold to a private equity firm based in Massachusetts.
The Boston Business Journal reports the sandwich company sold four locations, including the original on Revere Beach, to a Burlington-based company AAM15 Management.
Locations in Saugus, Medford, and Danvers were also sold.
The other 11 locations, including 7 in Florida were not included in the deal.
The CEO of the equity firm said the company is committed to continuing Kelly’s legacy.
“Growing up in this region, Kelly’s was always a part of my life. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s a symbol of community and tradition We’re proud to take on the responsibility of continuing Kelly’s legacy and ensuring it thrives for generations to come,” David Masse, founder and CEO of AAM15 Management said.
The equity firm manages several other hotel and restaurant brands
The Revere, Saugus, Danvers, and Medford locations will remain open and could undergo some enhancements.
