SUNAPEE, N.H. — A hungry black bear lurking around a job site in New Hampshire nonchalantly climbed into the front seat of a truck and helped itself to a worker’s lunch on Wednesday.
An American Plate Glass crew was working at a home in Sunapee when the bear managed to climb through an open truck window.
“American Plate Glass got a new employee this afternoon on our job site in Sunapee, New Hampshire,” the company said in a Facebook post.
The bear sniffed out a cooler of food in the truck, cracked it open, and started chomping on nuts, the Union Leader reported.
Company owner Milinda Stark Scott joked that the bear showed up for work “out of uniform.”
After polishing off the food, the bear moved to a nearby cluster of trees, where it had a “rest after lunch,” Scott said.
Sunapee, a town located about 40 miles northwest of Concord, is a “prime black bear habitat,” according to town officials.
