WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT — A car pulled into the breakdown lane of the highway is a familiar sight. A hot-air balloon? Not so much.
A viewer shared photos of a hot air balloon that landed in the median of Interstate 91 in Vermont.
Nancy Gonter Weld says was passing White River Junction on Wednesday as the balloon descended from the skies. She also says an ambulance drove by to meet the grounded balloon.
“It landed on the median, just as I and other cars went by,” she said.
