FRANKLIN, Mass. — Nearly 2 months after an arsonist hit St. Mary’s church, members of the parish get ready to host holiday mass.
This isn’t the first gathering members have had since the fire, members have gathered in the basement of the church with repairs still ongoing for smoke and fire damage.
The church announced its holiday schedule on social media, stating that despite the differences in venue, “the messages, passages, prayers, and hymns will all sound familiar!”
The Christmas Eve mass will be held in Franklin High School’s auditorium at 4 p.m., while all other events, including the Christmas mass, will be held in the church’s chapel.
All weekend masses will be live-streamed on their website at https://www.stmarysfranklin.org/.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
