HYANNIS, Mass. — A firefighter injured his shoulder Sunday night while working to put out a two-alarm fire at a Hyannis duplex home.
Just before 11 p.m., crews arrived on Murray Way just off of Sea Street.
Hyannis Fire Captain Nathan Coughlin said the home had a wooden frame and that smoke was coming from inside the walls.
“We had to open up quite a bit of the walls and ceiling to prevent [the fire] from running on us and getting into the attic.”
The firefighter was taken to a hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
