FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The countdown to Taylor Swift’s arrival is on.

”We have the absolute worst seats in the house, but we are equally excited as if they were floor seats,” says Sierra Gonsalves, a Swiftie and social media influencer.

Gonsalves has secured her ticket for the Taylor Swift concert. The same couldn’t be said for thousands of fans in Philadelphia so they opted for a listening session in the parking lot instead.

“It certainly sounds like people are trying to do that. I think the important thing to know is that Philly has a completely different stadium that is not like Gillette. We don’t have the capability to host 20,000 people outside in a parking lot,” says Gonsalves.

“If you don’t have a ticket, you shouldn’t be coming because you are going to be sadly disappointed that you are not going to have a spot to put your car and you are going to have to leave,” says Foxborough Police Chief Mike Grace.

If you’re thinking about showing up early and just hanging out inside Patriot Place before the concert, Gonsalves says the crackdown is on that too.

“I just hope that everybody knows that throughout the day the parking will be limited and timed just for shoppers,” says Gonsalves.

Still Gonsalves says people will likely try to get to Gillette Stadium in hopes of some last-minute ticket deals.

“People are still going to show up pretty much no matter what and just hope that they get tickets off Stub Hub, just hoping that the prices drop from like $1,000,” says Gonsalves.

“There is definitely a buzz you can feel it,” says Jemo, Citizen’s Crust Restaurant Manager.

For restaurants next to Gillette Stadium like Citizen’s Crust, employees say business will be as usual when swift comes to town this weekend.

“We’re treating it like a normal day and looking at it like 3 Patriots’ games in a row,” says Jemo.

The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Foxborough Police Chief says parking lots will open at 2:30 p.m. and gates to the show will open at 4:30 p.m.

Most importantly, police say plan ahead and leave early.
