BOSTON — Hundreds of people in Boston’s Back Bay were without power, Eversource’s outage map showed on Thursday night.
The outage map showed more than 900 residents were without power as of 10:40 p.m.

At around 10:30 p.m., Twitter users began reporting on the outages, posting pictures that showed a vast part of the area was in the dark.

Eversource said they were aware of the issue responded to the outages. It is still unclear what caused the neighborhood to lose power.
It has come to the attention of the Boston Police Department that there is a power outage in the area of Back Bay. Eversource is aware of the situation and they are responding.

An Eversource spokesperson told Boston 25 News the company is “hoping to get power restored in a few minutes.”
While the power was out in the area of the Prudential building, lights inside the Pru Tunnel on the Mass Pike were also not working, a DOT spokesperson tweeted.
