BOSTON — When Congressman Joe Kennedy III announced he was challenging incumbent Senator Ed Markey, he took off in the polls. But, the pandemic paused traditional campaigning. As months went on, it’s 39-year old Kennedy who’s found himself deflecting criticism he’s a Washington insider and establishment candidate against a man who has served in Washington D.C. since the late 1970s.
Kennedy says he will redefine the Senate seat Markey holds by working harder and fighting for progressive ideals both in Washington and home in Massachusetts.
Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh recently caught up with Kennedy at the Public Garden in Boston in between campaign stops.
