CANTON, Mass. — Dunkin’ says it has retired one of its most popular and recognizable drinks after a run of more than 20 years on the menu.

The Canton-based coffee chain has taken the Dunkaccino, a blend of coffee and hot chocolate, off of its menu, CNN reported.

A company spokesperson told the news outlet, “As we focus on innovation and finding new ways to delight guests, we continually evolve our menu in an effort to deliver a fast, frictionless experience.”

Dunkin’ didn’t say exactly why the drink is no longer, but it could be brought back at some point.

“The Dunkaccino is retired for now, but there’s always the chance for its return in the future,” the spokesperson added.

The Dunkaccino was also sold as a frozen beverage for a stretch of time.
