BOSTON — Amtrak trains traveling between Boston and Washington DC and New York will likely see delays this morning.
Downed wires on tracks in Philadelphia are impacting service in the Northeast corridor. Equipment unavailability is impacting and canceling certain trains between Boston and New York.
According to Amtrak, passengers can see delays of at least 3o to 60 minutes if they travel to DC from Boston.
The main issue are the tracks between New York Penn Station and Philadelphia 30th Street William Gray Station.
Amtrak says crews have partially restored some of their service, with only one of four tracks operational at normal speeds.
Two Acela trains from Washington D.C and New York to Boston have been canceled on Monday morning due to equipment availability. Customers can now rebook to the next available service. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
Amtrak is saying they are doing their best to move trains in order to minimize delays.
