HARDWICK, Mass — A dog was rescued after falling through a half-frozen pond in Hardwick Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters first received the call for a dog that fell through the ice around 2:47 p.m., the Barre Fire Department shared on Facebook.
Firefighters from Hardwick and Barre raced to the icy body of water and were able to successfully extract the canine from the chilly waters.
The dog was injured during the incident but is doing well.
