WRENTHAM, Mass. — Authorities are seeking information about a dog they say was found abandoned on Thursday morning.
According to Wrentham & Plainville Animal Control, a very thin dog was found at Joe’s Rock. The pup was near a small red bowl of food that appeared empty.
The temperature at the time was in the 30s and it’s unclear how long the dog had been there. Police say the dog was abandoned sometime overnight or early in the morning.
“Due to the circumstances where he was found, I do believe he was dumped,” an animal control spokesperson said in a social media post.
Anyone with information about the dog or the owner is asked to call animal control at 508-384-2121 option two.
