BOSTON — A toy monkey with what appeared to be a bomb strapped onto its back recently drew attention from the Massachusetts State Police and TSA agents at Logan International Airport, TSA officials said this week.
While screening checked baggage at the airport on Friday, TSA officers “identified what appeared to be an improvised explosive device (IED),” TSA New England said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
“@MassStatePolice and @TSA Explosives didn’t monkey around and quickly confirmed it was a replica toy. MSP confiscated the item. #travelfail,” the post concluded.
