A dead minke whale that washed up in a coastal South Shore town has been removed.
The deceased minke whale that washed up in Hull will now be taken so scientists and researchers to conduct a necropsy and learn about its life and death, Whale and Dolphin Conservation shared on Facebook.
“Huge thank you to Hull DPW for helping coordinate this minke whale’s extraction and transport to her necropsy and burial site,” the non-profit organization shared.
The whale will be buried so that the tide does not wash it back on shore.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
