QUINCY, Mass. — A road rage incident lead to a stabbing that Heath Tabbi witnessed while walking home on Thursday afternoon.
“He falls down right over there and that’s where the blood is,” said Heath Tabbi who lives in Quincy.
Tabbi says he saw the stabbing which happened after an argument. “They were in there. They were fighting about something but I couldn’t hear it.”
Tabbi says both men appeared to be in their 30′s and that one was a white male the other black.
The victim’s grandfather told Boston 25 News that according to his grandson it all started with a road rage incident that wound up on Glover Avenue in North Quincy.
“The Quincy Police Department received multiple 911 calls of a reported disorder here in the area of Pierce Street in Norfolk Downs,” said Sgt. Patrick Faherty of the Quincy Police Department.
The men’s fight took place next to Quincy Catholic Academy and Sacred Heart Church. Police say the school was never threatened and never went into lockdown.
Tabbi says the victim tried to get away in a gold Oldsmobile but was cut off by the suspect. He says the victim backed up and hopped out of his car to get away. The suspect go out but went to his trunk first.
“He grabbed something that was in a towel and it’s a gun. The black guy takes out his knife and stabs him just like this,” said Tabbi as he used a stabbing motion with his hand.
Heath says the victim didn’t realize he’d been stabbed.
“He went down on the ground and falls on his knees and then falls like this and then blood everywhere.”
The suspect took off in his car and the victim was rushed to Boston Medical Center. According to Sgt. Faherty, the victim sustained serious injuries but non-life-threatening.
The victim’s grandfather said his grandson underwent surgery and is expected to be okay.
It’s not clear if any arrests have been made. No additional information was available.
