BROCKTON, Mass. — A boy has died after falling from a ninth-floor window at Belair Tower in Brockton on Sunday morning, the Plymouth County DA’s Office announced in a release.
Police were called to the scene just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday, where they found the victim unresponsive. That boy was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was pronounced dead.
State and local police are investigating the incident, while the statement from the DA states that no foul play is suspected.
“I’ve seen that little boy grow up and everything,” said resident Luis Fuentes. “He was a beautiful kid.”

Resident Barbara Leslie said the 9-year-old boy was loved dearly by his family.
“A very close family, you know? So I’m like ‘wow this is really freaky,‘” she said. “My heart goes out to the family.”
A caretaker at Belair Tower told Boston 25 News on Sunday that the boy’s grandmother was in the kitchen cooking a Father’s Day breakfast and thought her grandson was sleeping when he reportedly fell. She added that the boy had autism and was known to be closely watched by family members.
That victim is not currently being identified by law enforcement.
