Crews respond to rollover crash involving dump truck on Rt. 24 in Avon

AVON, Mass. — Emergency crews have responded to reports of a rollover crash involving a dump truck on Route 24 in Avon early Saturday morning.

The Massachusetts State Police told Boston 25 News crews arrived at the scene at approximately 6:49 a.m. They found the dump truck on Rt. 24 northbound before Exit 35.

The truck is currently straddling both sides of the roadway after it rolled onto its side and collapsed onto the concrete median barrier. MSP confirmed Brockton Fire also responded to help assist with a possible diesel fuel leak from the vehicle.

Only the right lanes on both the northbound and southbound sides of Rt. 24 are open. Authorities have yet to confirm any reported injuries from this accident.
