BROCKTON, Mass. — Nearly a dozen people are without a home Saturday after a three-alarm house fire in Brockton left two firefighters injured, according to officials.
Crews responded to a fire at a multi-family home on Florence Street just before 9:30 a.m. and all 11 residents got out of the house safely, officials said.
Fire officials said two Brockton firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local area hospital. At this time, it is not clear exactly what kinds of injuries those firefighters suffered.
Red Cross of Massachusetts is assisting the residents find a place to stay.
Officials said the fire appears to have started in the rear of the building on the third floor. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
