DEDHAM, Mass. — Coffee with Candidates is back and giving our viewers a different perspective on the people asking for your vote.

This 2022 political season, we turn our attention to major state races playing out in Massachusetts.

Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh sat down with the Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey.

They recently met up at Zume’s Coffee House in Charlestown.

If elected, Healey will be making history, two-fold.  She would be the first woman elected governor of Massachusetts and would become the nation’s first openly lesbian governor.

Healey has served as the Commonwealth’s attorney general since 2014. She grew up in New Hampshire but has called Massachusetts home since she attended Harvard University.  She talked to Kavanaugh about how she will tackle Massachusetts’ affordability problem starting on day one. She also discussed personal challenges she’s faced, her short career as a professional basketball player in Europe, and her favorite thing about Massachusetts.
