LOWELL, Ma — Coffee with Candidates is back and giving our viewers a different perspective on the people asking for your vote. This 2022 political season, we turn our attention to the major state races playing out in Massachusetts. Boston 25 News Anchor Kerry Kavanaugh sat down with Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Tami Gouveia.
They recently met up for coffee at the Four Sisters Owl Diner in Lowell, Gouveia’s hometown.
Gouveia now lives in Acton and is a Massachusetts State Representative who represents the 14th Middlesex District.
Gouveia told Kavanaugh she got into this race because she felt the state’s pandemic response left too many people behind. She’s a mom, social worker and recently earned her doctorate in public health. She also said she doesn’t think Massachusetts can just build it’s out of the housing crisis, it might require a legislative solution.
