BOSTON — Chick-fil-A will not be able to bid for a spot at any of the Mass. Pike service plazas.
According to the Boston Globe, MassDOT is requiring all restaurants in the repurposed rest areas to be open seven days a week.
All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
The new language was written so that travelers don’t go hungry when looking for a place to eat along the pike.
Chick-fil-A has not responded to this ruling.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
