BOSTON — Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals turned into a party after the Celtics pummeled the Bucks in a 109-81 victory.
The energy inside TD Garden was electric Sunday afternoon, and that excitement spilled out into the streets following the blowout game.
The win sends the defending champs home to Milwaukee after a bruising series.
“The team showed up today. Tatum didn’t have to score 40. It was an amazing team victory,” said Celtics fan Ilya Fuchs.
The Celtics now advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to face top-seeded Miami Heat.
“What a great win we had, and we’re gunna beat the Heat, no doubt!,” said Celtics fan Stephanie Gigliotti.
Game 1 is set for Tuesday night in Miami. The Celtics are now four wins away from a trip to the NBA finals.
