BOSTON — Five Orange Line stops are being affected by a derailed train at Wellington.
According to the MBTA, shuttle buses are replacing service between Oak Grove and Sullivan Square due to a derailment in the work zone at Wellington. Previously, this derailing also affected Community College. The MBTA says approximately 100 people were on board with the northbound train derailed just before noon Tuesday.
The train, which officials say was moving slowly, was crossing over to the southbound track to accommodate ongoing maintenance work when it derailed.
No one was injured.
Oak Grove, Malden Center, Wellington, Assembly and Sullivan Square are all impacted.
Officials are telling riders to expect delays as crews work to re-rail the train.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
