BU Police: ‘No threat’ after call for active shooter on campus

BOSTON — Boston University Police say they are confident there is no threat to the public after officials received a call for an active shooter on campus early Sunday evening.

“Although we are still investigating, at this time we are confident that there is no threat to our community. Officers will continue to be vigil,” BU Police said in a tweet.

Students and members of the community were first alerted to the possibility of an active shooter on campus at 8 p,.m., when BU PD said they were investigating the reports at 855 Commonwealth Avenue and 233 Bay State Road.
