BOSTON — Boston Police Officer Dana Lamb was arrested by Boston Police on Tuesday for a domestic incident involving a weapon.
Sources tell Boston 25 News the weapon used in the incident is a gun.
Lamb is being charged with “assault by means of a dangerous weapon” according to a release issued by Boston Police Tuesday night.
Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long issued the following statement following the arrest:
“This allegation of domestic violence committed by a Boston Police Officer is extremely disturbing. The Boston Police Department takes all allegations of domestic violence by employees seriously. Domestic violence is unacceptable in society[.] A thorough investigation into this matter will be conducted by the Boston Police Department’s Bureau of Professional Standards and the Bureau of Investigative Services in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. “
