FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — As Tom Brady heads back to Gillette Stadium Sunday, some Patriots fans are torn on who to root for: their home team or the legend who led the Pats to six Super Bowl victories.
“Brady’s got us. He’s going to kill us,” said James McDonald. “Listen, I’m a Patriots fan. But you know what? Brady’s the GOAT. He gave us so many years. I’m only 23. So, I only know Brady. I’ve been spoiled by him my whole life. So, I’m rooting for him, man. I want to see him come in and get his revenge.”
Brady is sure to put on a good show. Not only is he returning to his former home, but he will also be looking to recover from a Rams defeat last weekend.
“Tampa’s going to win on Sunday, unfortunately,” said Justin Conover. “I’m a Pats fan, always will be, but Tom and the Bucs are ready to rock.”
Yet, other fans have faith in rookie quarterback Mac Jones.
“I’m going to get in a lot of trouble, but I have Tom Brady on my fantasy team,” said Kevin Langley. “So [I’m] expecting four touchdowns from him. But I believe in Mac Jones. I went to Alabama. I’ve seen him. I saw him all last year. I think Mac’s going to turn out, and I think the Pats have a good chance to win.”
