FRANKLIN, Mass. — The matchups are now set. The MIAA has released its playoff teams and schedules for the 2022 high school football tournament.
The first games, in the tournament of 16, for divisions 1-8 will be held on November 4th and 5th.
The round of 8 is scheduled to run November 8-12. The state semi-finals will be on November 18th and 19th.
All games are expected to be at the home site of the higher seed for the round of 16 and round of 8.
The state championship games are scheduled for Friday, December 2, and Saturday, December 3.
“A total of 128 teams will take part in this year’s postseason, the second to be played under the MIAA’s statewide tournament format,” according to a statement from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. “Each bracket includes the top 16 power-ranked teams for each division with at least 3 victories and 7 games played.”
