Boston police warning residents of overdue parking ticket fee scam

BOSTON — Boston police are warning residents of an overdue parking ticket fee scam.

According to Boston police, fraudulent messages are being sent out claiming that recipients have overdue parking ticket fees.

“Please be advised that these messages were NOT sent by the City of Boston,” Boston Police wrote in a release.

Police say that residents can use the City of Boston Parking website to learn how to pay any unpaid parking fees.

If you or someone you know has been victimized by this type of crime, please report the incident to the Boston Police Department.
