Boston police arrest most wanted suspect on outstanding warrants

BOSTON — Boston Police Department arrested a suspect on the BPD’s most wanted list for an outstanding warrant.

Police were dispatched to 206 Newbury Street on Friday, December 20, around 7:44 p.m. for a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect had fled.

Boston Police Operations was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect.

Officers found the suspect and commenced an on-foot pursuit, which led to the apprehension of the suspect.

28-year-old Erin Shruhan of Boston was charged with shoplifting but also had outstanding warrants for Assault to Murder, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Shruhan is expected to be in Boston Municipal Court for arraignment.
