REVERE, Mass. — A global entertainment phenomenon known to the Boston area announced a special pop-up performance at a Massachusetts beach this weekend.
The Blue Man Group will perform as headliners at the International Sand Sculpting Festival at Revere Beach this coming Friday at 8 p.m.
The annual festival is the largest free event in Massachusetts, and hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend over the course of three days. It occupies a lengthy footprint on Revere Beach and features multiple event stages, local artisans and food vendors, spectacular large-scale sand sculptures, and on Saturday night, a fireworks display.
The Blue Man Group will appear on the King Kong stage, performing select musical numbers from their show which runs year-round at the Charles Playhouse at 74 Warrenton Street.
The renowned Group is known for its award-winning theatrical productions, iconic characters, and multiple creative explorations, including their human connection through art, music, comedy, and non-verbal communication.
