Bill Belichick praises Taylor Swift for rain-soaked performance at Gillette, reveals favorite song

FOXBORO, Mass. — Longtime New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick might just be a Swiftie.

During an interview on WEEI’s Greg Hill Show on Monday, Belichick said he attended one of Taylor Swift’s three sold-out Eras Tour shows at Gillette and praised the superstar musician for her rain-soaked performance on Saturday, May 20.

“Yeah, saw a little bit of Taylor. That was pretty impressive. She’s tough, man,” Belichick told the radio program. “She just stood out there and played right through it.”

The six-time Super Bowl-winning coach also said that he’s a big fan of Swift’s hit song, “You Need To Calm Down.”

“I’m definitely in on the, ‘You gotta calm down,’” Belichick said. “That’s pretty good...There’s a lot of times when that’s very appropriate.”

When asked if he’s a certified Swiftie, Belichick joked, “What does that mean, like you have a sweatshirt or something?”
