REVERE, Mass. — It’s clean-up day for Craig Collins. “You don’t want anyone to fall you know what I mean, public safety you have to be careful,” he said.

Collins had been out since 5:30am Monday, clearing snow from bus stop shelters along the North Shore. “I’ve done maybe 25-30 it depends. I started early, some I can’t get through, so I have to walk around and do them, but I get them done,” Collins said.

While many roads and sidewalks are clear, there are big snow piles all over the North Shore. Anthony Murphy was waiting at a bus stop to head to work in Everett. “If I had a shovel I would do it, even though I wouldn’t get paid but I know if I shoveled that somebody would get on the bus the right way,” Murphy said.

In Lynn, we found a crosswalk totally clear of snow, but when you get to the other side of it there is a mountain of snow that’s forcing a lot of people to walk around right into a busy street. “You get scared a car might hit you hit you from behind you got to pay attention a lot,” said Roxanne Konan of Lynn.

In Revere, DPW crews using a front loader to get rid of a large snow pile on the corner of Broadway and Paige Street, which is welcome relief for Reina Soto, who lives in Revere. “Nobody wants to crash, so if you can’t see a car coming because there is a huge snow bank in the way, then that certainly makes it dangerous for traveling,” she said.
