NORWOOD, Mass. — A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in Norwood on Friday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m., Norwood Police Chief William Brooks tweeted about the incident, saying it happened on Sumner Street, by the Stop & Shop.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes as police have closed down the area to conduct their investigation.

It’s unclear if this was a hit and run or if the driver of the vehicle that hit the bicycle stayed on scene.
