BOSTON — In a new Dunkin’ commercial, coffee shop workers mistake Ben Affleck for Matt Damon, prompting him to give a hilarious nod to his good friend’s career.

The commercial begins when Affleck walks into a Boston-area Dunkin’ restaurant and announces that he’s on a ‘Dunkin’ run’ to take advantage of the chain’s large coffee and a doughnut for a $1 promotion.

Affleck is then humorously mistaken by crew members for his friend and business partner, Matt Damon.

“I do know you. ‘The Departed,’” one clerk suggests. “Where you in ‘The Departed?’” another clerk asked.

Affleck is seen shaking his head and smirking before he responds, “I’m Matt Damon.”

One clerk then says, “I love him, I love him.”

Affleck then makes a joke in disapproval, saying, “Nah. I mean, some of his work.”

The Dunkin’ clerk then quickly interjects, “He’s had a really consistent career.”

Feeling a bit deflated, Affleck grabs his iced coffee and doughnut and walks out of the restaurant.

Affleck previously appeared in a Dunkin’ commercial on Super Bowl Sunday. In that commercial, Affleck is seen taking orders from a drive-thru window in Medford.

Jennifer Lopez also made an appearance in the coffee shop’s first-ever Super Bowl spot.

Lopez pulled up to the window and asked Affleck, “What are you doing here? Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?”

Affleck then tells his coworkers that he’s “got to go,” and Lopez says, “Grab me a glazed.”
