An approaching arctic front is bringing wind chills as low as 40-below zero to Massachusetts this weekend and that dangerously cold airmass could wreak havoc on homes across the region.
Pipes freezing as temperatures plummet will be of chief concern for homeowners.

Mike Giordano, of Giordano’s Plumbing in Attleboro, warned of wind gusts pushing the frigid air through cracks and crevices, leading to lower room temperatures and cold walls.
“The drafts coming through the walls will actually freeze the pipes,” Giordano said.
